Classic Car Appraisal

As a BCAA (Bureau Of Certified Appraisers) Certified Appraiser, we provide you with an accurate, detailed appraisal of your classic car, muscle car, hot rod, etc.

Vehicle Evaluation

Pre-purchase inspections are an invaluable part of the process when considering a classic vehicle. Certain aspects of this evaluation will be similar for every classic, antique, or custom we inspect. However, the benefit of gettig a car appraised is knowing what potential trouble areas may be unique to the vehicle under consideration. These may include mechanical, corrosion, electrical, missing/altered components, and more. We can perform this service independently or work side-by-side with you.

Fees:

Appraisal: $325 (local area)

Evauluation: $150 (local area)

Appraisals and Evaluations performed outside of the local area (within 20 miles) will incur travel expenses in addition to the flat rate.

Buyer / Seller Assistance

Fee: 3% of sales price ($750 minimum)

For the person looking to purchase a collectable or classic, we first consult with you to determine exactly what suits your needs. We search the local market and expand from there. Not only will this save you the time and trouble of searching and evaluating each find, but it will also be invaluable in negotiating price. We do extensive research to find you the very best car for your budget. In the event that your vehicle does not sell or we are unable to complete a purchase, there is a $350 non-refundable deposit due upon consignment. 

If you’re looking to sell, South Sound Classics will help you establish an estimated sales result for your vehicle, including recent sales of comparables and value trends, as well as sales price vs. asking price. We will act as your personal sales associate, assisting you in the entire process from marketing through receipt of proceeds and shipping if necessary.

Value Consultation

As a part of our buyer/seller assistance, we work with you to determine the fair market value of your future sale or purchase.  Quality, provenance, and current market conditions are significant contributors to assessing value.

Auction Representation

Fee: 3% of sales price ($950 minimum) plus expenses

We will first consult with you to determine if an auction format is best for your situation. If you choose to buy or sell at auction, we can be there to assist you with either. Acting as your buyer or seller representative, we will manage the sale or purchase entirely or take the lead and walk you through every step of the process. In the event that your vehicle does not sell, a $350 non-refundable deposit is due upon consignment. 

Shipping

After your sale or purchase, we can assist you with shipping your vehicle to any location. This is typically done via open or enclosed carrier.
